[09/07/07] Break moment in the sector of ceramics
The 15th Statistical Inquiry presented by Acimac (Constructors of Machineries and Tools for Ceramics Italian Association) records a turnover 2006 equal to 1.702,1 millions of euro, in bending of the 4,2%.
This statistic is originated mainly from a break moment in some key markets, like the Middle East. Stable Italy (+0.3%), European Union (+11,2%) becomes again the first market. The sales in China start again (+21,3%) and the importance of the Africa rises (+36.2%).
Export, just decreasing of 5,8%, represents 73,1% of the total turnover of the sector. Positive trend of the machineries for brick (+8.3%); tile machineries -3%.
According to the first esteem, the perspectives for this year are encouraging, thanks to important investments in technology started or programmed in Italy, but not only.
